And The Beat Goes On

Durham (NC), Greensboro (NC), Raleigh (NC), Triangle Park (NC), Wilson-Rocky Mount (NC), and Winston Salem (NC) Chapters! Ten members, representing all 6 chapters, met all during Spring 2020, to coordinate and plan the phenomenally successful event. The 1.5-hour, combinedZOOM friendship activity, “And The Beat Goes On,’ was held on Saturday night, November 21, 2020. It was a night of fun, laughter, seeing old friends, good music, dancing (in and out of your seat), and of course, the focus of the night… friendly competition for naming that song. Members rocked to the music played by DJ Link Ruth.

Approximately 240 Link sisters registered and purchased signature tee shirts and over 220 were in attendance on Saturday night. Recipes for a variety of delicious cocktails were sent to member to prepare and bring to the party. As a memory of the evening, each attendee will receive a copy of the ‘PLAYLIST,’ so they can reminisce and remember that the beat of our Link hearts for friendship goes on.

Most importantly, friendship in Linkdom blossomed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 6-chapters, despite the distance that is between them, came together to plan and execute a wonderful evening of friendship sharing that everyone enjoyed immensely.
